Hackathon: Hack Cupertino 2025

Inspiration

The climate is rapidly deteriorating, and we can stop it! By banding together and learning why sustaining materials can be good for us, we can keep our beloved home. We started Sustainia as a result of the rapidly deteriorating climate. We wanted to give people an opportunity to learn about their carbon emissions and how it affects the world.

What it does

Coupled with an AI Chatbot, Sustainia helps educate everyone on the benefits of keeping the climate and our motherland safe.

How we built it

We built it using APIs, Java, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript, all using Visual Studio.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled to build the AI companion to adapt to the new tasks we programmed it to do. In addition to that, we had to build a game to keep users educated in a fun way.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The AI we built is really interactive and gave us satisfaction for putting all of those hours and efforts in.

What we learned

We learned that we can manage our time efficiently and also learned that planning ahead doesn't always work out.

What's next for Sustainia

We want to improve our GPT model AI and make the website more interactive for all.
